As a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFA) I receive emails once a day with updates on breaking news, topics and articles on the financial aid industry. Today’s email had a great article on misleading marketing materials that student loan companies send to prospective customers. Today’s literature from these companies looks official, legitimate and can completely mislead a borrower to sign something that they never even requested. Click here to check out the article.
If you or anyone you know has been duped because of student loan solicitation call the Department of Education’s Ombudsman’s office to file a complaint.
