The Federal PLUS loan is a great supplement to federal aid such as the Stafford Loan and a viable alternative if you have been declined for, or choose not to take a private loan.

Federal PLUS Loans enable parents and legal guardians with good credit histories to help finance up to 100% of a dependent child's cost of attendance.
Eligibility Criteria Includes: Student and Parent must be US citizens, permanent residents or eligible non-residents Student must be enrolled in school at least half-time Parent must pass a credit check	Terms Borrow up to 100% of your dependent child's college funding gap Discounted interest rate of 8.25% (you save 0.25%) 3% origination fee (you save 1%)
